You can sometimes tell that Pale Folklore is Agalloch's first album. It occasionally sounds a little juvenile, particularly right at the start of "She Painted Fire Across The Skyline, Part III" where Haughm suddenly yells about "a river of shadows" and "a thousand ravens" in an inadvertently delighted tone of voice, before the song begins.

Ok so 'Pale Folklore' HOLY S***!!! She Painted Fire Across The Skyline Part 1 - The intro is fantastic, very folky and very different to very old agalloch, showing a lot of diversity. BUT 2 minutes 35 seconds through. One of the greatest feelings i have ever received from listening to a song. Absolutely fantastic moment on this album.
