Jul 31,  · One of the most exciting parts about this CD is that there are black metal growls AND death metal grunts! Hearing both makes you think that you are listening to doom metal, like Tristania. Graveworm even uses violins in this album! The 3rd track on the album is one of my favorite black metal songs of all time.5/5(9).

This is without any doubt their best album so far. Even though COF or early Dimmu Bordir are still very present on Scourge Of Malice, Graveworm is constructing record after record their own sound, their own path. The gothic elements fighting black metal ones is definitively their trademark.
